Job Title: VP of Operations and Chief Advocate

Reporting to: Deborah Adams, Board of Directors and Project Coordinator, Isabelle and Katherine Adams, founders of Paper for Water.

Working Hours: A minimum of 15 hours per week
Paper for Water is a Dallas based nonprofit organization founded in 2011 with a mission to raise money to fund water and sanitation projects worldwide. We have an immediate opening for a VP of Operations and Chief Advocate.

Responsibilities:

  •  Support Paper for Water’s mission to bring water and the Word to the Thirsty, one piece of paper at a time.
  •  Assists Paper for Water's overall fundraising efforts, including qualifying potential donors, cultivating current donors, and researching new fundraising opportunities
  •  Supports long term strategies for donor growth and retention
  •  Assists with preparation for major fundraising events: Giving Tuesday, North Texas Giving Day, and PFW's Annual Event
  •  Supports Paper for Water’s communications efforts, including the development of social media posts, e-newsletters, and web copy
  •  Collaborates on drafts for social media, emails, and e-newsletter content
  •  Prepares professional annual reports, project reports and summaries of Paper for Water's activities
  •  Supports the grant application process, including the development of new language and research to fulfill the grant requirements
  •  Assists with the development of the annual budget and review of other financial reports
  •  Coordinates activities related to the Board of Directors, including scheduling meetings and providing regular communication updates on Paper for Water
  •  Supports volunteer folding events
  •  Manages Paper for Water’s internship program
  •  Manages Paper for Water’s Change Makers’ program
  •  Oversees the coordination of volunteers for events and liaises between various National Charity League chapters, YMSL and other formally approved volunteer groups.
  •  Assists with ad-hoc projects for Paper for Water and performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  •  This positions requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
  •  Ability to work a minimum of 15 hours/week

  •  Maintains a professional and positive attitude at all times
  •  Ability to interact professionally with staff, volunteers, students, guests, and board members
  •  Ability to strongly communicate the mission of Paper for Water
  •  Highly organized and detail oriented
  •  Ability to work independently
  •  Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  •  Experience with Salesforce or ability to learn quickly is required
  •  Experience with Canva and an eye for design is required
