Jacob attends school at St. Monica in Dallas. He became interested in origami through the Tom Angleberger Star Wars "Origami Yoda" book series when he was in the second grade. He read every single book in the series! When one of Jacob's mom's friends heard that Jacob was interested in origami, she introduced Jacob's family to Isabelle, Katherine, and the entire Adams family. Jacob immediately decided that he wanted to volunteer with Paper for Water. His first big project with Paper for Water was helping to fold 5,000 butterflies for display at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. Jacob quickly decided that his favorite part of the Paper for Water mission is selling the ornaments made by the many volunteers. Jacob is a natural salesperson. He loves telling the Paper for Water story at gift fairs and special events. Jacob is now in his fourth year of volunteering with Paper for Water. Through Paper for Water, Jacob is learning the joy of using his talents to help serve others.
